Winner of the 2017 Elmbridge Literary Competition: Poetry category.

Jenny Simnett lives in Esher, Surrey and has written poetry for over 35 years.  She is half way through a part-time MA in Creative Writing at Kingston University.  Jenny enjoys the intellectual challenge of the constraint of words in poetry and provoking a reaction in her reader.

The Elmbridge Literary Competition was established by The RC Sherriff Trust, an independent arts charity working in the Borough of Elmbridge and Elmbridge Borough Council. Previous competitions have included subjects as varied as Dickens, fantasy, love and short radio plays.
