Frankenstein in India – Linda Shanson

Linda is an artist and producer. She has a BSc. Anthropology and lived and worked in Mexico, India and Paris, and some of her writing has been published by Mantra and Macdonald Young Reader. One of her songs was published by Northern Songs when she was 13, and she has several albums with Jazz Orient-Re-Orient on ARC Int. She is co-founder of the registered charity Baluji Music Foundation and manager of UK’s only blind orchestra called The Inner Vision Orchestra.  Her experiences as anthropologist, singer, dancer, poet, and songwriter, has given her a unique set of experiences to draw on.

Winner of the 2018 Elmbridge Literary Competition: Adult Story

The Elmbridge Literary Competition was established by The RC Sherriff Trust, an independent arts charity working in the Borough of Elmbridge and Elmbridge Borough Council. Previous competitions have included subjects as varied as Dickens, fantasy, love and short radio plays. In celebration of the 200th Anniversary of the publication of Mary Shelley’s ‘Frankenstein’, the themes for the 2017 Competition were ‘Things that Go Bump in the Night’ (5-13 Age Category) and ‘A Shiver Down the Spine’ (14-18 & Adult Categories).
