My Haarschwund – Franziska Füchsl

Franziska_Füchsl_2 copyMy Haarschwund is a book of absent-mindedness about a wound, haunting the void of not-having-witnessed and venting that head irrevocably. Irrevocable as hair stripped off, felted and blown.

Franziska Füchsl lives in Vienna and Kiel. She studied German and English at Vienna University and »Sprache und Gestalt« (approximately language and form or figure or gnome or) at the Muthesius University of Fine Arts and Design. She is a member of the Viennese based translation associations Versatorium and Neuberg College. The latter is an initiative to build a Col-lege at a former train station.

The European Poetry Festival celebrates, in the UK and beyond, the grand resurgence in avant-garde and literary poetry that has marked the 21st century in Europe. It aims to not only innovative what a live poetry experience might be, but to inculcate community and engagement between poets across the continent, as well as between new audiences and complex poetries. The EPF is trying to create a new understanding of what European literature might be in a new Europe.
